New York, NY
We put consumer brands in front of the buyers who can say yes.
The Concord Shop connects brands to the retail and marketplace channels that actually fit them, then works the introduction through to commercial terms.
What we do
Most brands do not fail at retail because the product is wrong.
They fail because they pitched the wrong channel, at the wrong moment, to someone who was never the decision maker. Merchant calendars are set months ahead. Terms are set before the meeting. A great product introduced out of sequence reads as a pass.
We work the other direction. We start from what a retailer or marketplace operator actually needs to fill, then bring the brands that fit, prepared for the conversation they are walking into.
-
For retailers and marketplaces
Reseller and brand pipeline
Target identification through executive introduction and commercial terms. Your merchant team gets qualified brands that are ready to transact, not a list to work through.
-
For consumer brands
Channel entry and readiness
Assortment, pricing, packaging, margin and terms readiness for travel retail, specialty and third party marketplaces. Then the introduction to the person who owns the decision.
-
For both
Summits, market meetings and activations
Bookings, management, planning and site visits. Vendor funded summits, market weeks, brand counters and in store activations, run end to end.
Where brands land
Four channels, and they do not behave alike.
Travel and airport retail
High rent per linear foot, captive dwell time, and a buyer who needs proof the product moves at impulse.
Specialty and resort retail
Casino, resort and destination formats where assortment is curated to the location, not the chain.
Amazon and Walmart 3P
Reseller and third party seller relationships, where content, pricing control and supply terms decide the deal.
DTC and wholesale
Direct and traditional wholesale routes, used to build the sell through story the other three channels ask for.
Background
We have sat on the buying side of this table.
The Concord Shop was founded in 2023 by Eden Goldberg. The record below is her own work, done before the practice was founded, across two decades at Altitunes, InMotion Entertainment Group and WHSmith North America, and as Chief Strategy Officer of an ecommerce platform serving Amazon and Walmart sellers.
- First
Airport retailer in the country to launch Apple, and later Beats.
- 500 doors
North American locations merchandised, part of a portfolio of 1,800+ globally.
- 100 brands
Vendor portfolio built and held, including Bose, Sony, Dyson and Samsung.
- 36 to 300+
Private label SKUs, launched into 40 countries at roughly 65% gross margin.
- Eight figures
In annual vendor funding negotiated across co-op, launch windows and exclusivity.
- 45% YoY
Revenue growth across resort and casino concepts through partnerships and activations.
The categories run wide on purpose: consumer electronics and travel gear, CPG and consumables, health and beauty, news and gift, toys and accessories. The first prestige beauty shop-in-shops in North American travel retail opened at LaGuardia in 2021 with Estée Lauder and Kiehl's, then scaled into New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orlando.
Clients today include online retailers, retail services and technology providers, specialty and travel retailers, and industry associations and their pillar events.
Speaking and events
On stage, on panels, and in the room where the deal gets framed.
Eden speaks on omnichannel growth, brand partnerships and marketplace strategy, at CES, TikTok Shop events, and leading retail and ecommerce conferences and podcasts. She also founded and ran an annual company summit for 500 investors, executives and store leaders plus 75 vendors, funded entirely through vendor investment.
- Where physical retail still wins
- Building a vendor portfolio that funds itself
- Travel retail as a brand proving ground
- Marketplace economics for store-side operators
- Private label without cannibalizing the brands
